About

Darryn's academic pursuits and expertise are centred around the dynamic intersection of law and politics. His research focus primarily revolves around the constitutional implications stemming from the UK's withdrawal from the European Union (Brexit) and its impact on devolution.

Darryn has taken on pivotal roles within the School of Law and Social Justice. In his capacity as the module coordinator, Darryn oversees two modules: Business Law and International Business Law. Additionally, he contributes significantly to the teaching team for Public Law and Land Law, showcasing his versatility in both subject matter and pedagogical approaches. Outside of the Law School, Darryn is also a lecturer on the University's Go Higher program, where he serves as the convenor of the law module and co-module leader for the Societies and Individuals module.

In recognition of his commitment to fostering inclusivity in higher education, Darryn actively mentors students on the University's Widening Participation and Outreach team. This program, designed to support students from underrepresented backgrounds in higher education, benefits immensely from his guidance and support.

Furthermore, Darryn is a member of the 'Liverpool Public Law research unit within the Law School, where he actively contributes to the advancement of legal scholarship. Additionally, his membership in the UACES (University Association for Contemporary European Studies) global network reflects his engagement with a broader academic community.
