Personal Statement
Oliver is a macroeconomist with research interests in monetary economics, macro-finance, asset pricing and computational methods. He is a full professor at the University of Liverpool Management School and holds the Chair in Macroeconomics. Prior to joining Liverpool, Oliver held positions at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, the University of St Andrews in Scotland, and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington DC. He holds a MA, MPhil and PhD from the University of Cambridge and was the Mead Research Fellow in Economics at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. Oliver's research has been published in leading academic journals such as Econometrica, The Economic Journal, Economics Letters, the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, the Journal of International Money and Finance, and the International Journal of Central Banking.
