I joined University of Liverpool Management School in July 2011 as a senior lecturer in Corporate Finance. Previously I have worked at Liverpool John Moores University and I have also worked with University of London, University of Leicester, SOAS and University of Glasgow. Recently I was appointed Deputy Head of Department and Director of Education for Economics, Finance and Accounting.
My philosophy on finance education is that it should real-world and applied. At Liverpool we are fortunate to hold one of the largest Bloomberg terminal rooms among UK Universities. It is our goal, that each economics, finance and accounting student leaves having completed the Bloomberg Market concepts certificate. I am very keen on introducing innovative approaches to the classroom, and I was instrumental in bringing Poll Everywhere to the Management School. This is a tool that promotes interactivity in classrooms, especially in large groups.
My usual teaching diet consists of:
Corporate Financial Management (Undergraduate)
Financial Engineering (Postgraduate)
