    About

    Personal Statement

Gustavo is a macroeconomist whose research agenda is primarily concerned with heterogeneity at the micro level and the impact it has on macroeconomic aggregates. More specifically, his research focuses on the following three areas: the effect that consumer bankruptcy laws have on the economy, the general equilibrium effects of heterogeneity on the banking sector and how different higher education financing schemes affect welfare and inequality. Gustavo holds a BA in International Politics from HEI-HEP (in Paris, France) and a MSc in Economics and Finance and a PhD in Economics from the University of Kent. Before joining Liverpool, Gustavo held teaching and research positions at the University of Oxford and London Business School.
