Andrew Mason graduated with an MPhys in Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Liverpool & Liverpool John Moore's Astrophysics Research Institute (ARI) in 2019.
His dissertation comprised a study of the dynamical and chemical properties of the accreted stellar populations of the Milky Way's halo attempting to identify substructure using data from the massive near-infrared spectroscopic survey APOGEE supplemented by astrometric measurements from the Gaia mission.
Andrew became a PhD student at the LIV.DAT CDT in October 2019.
