Doctor of Education (EdD)
This programme is no longer recruiting but still has active students in the thesis stage. The EdD in Higher Education consists of two key components – a taught phase and a thesis stage.
Taught phase
The taught component required students to undertake nine 30-credit modules, nine 10-credit Doctoral Development Planning (DDP) modules and several masterclasses.
Thesis stage
The second component, a 180 credit Thesis stage, involved undertaking independent research into a topic related to higher education embodied in a 40,000 to 50,000 word dissertation.
