We're really excited to partner with Think Pacific to offer funding towards the project costs for up to 55students to spend one month volunteering in Fiji!

University Information

You can choose from a project focussing on either Community Development, Youth Empowerment, Mental Health or Sports Development and will work alongside students from other UK universities.

To apply for this programme, you should apply directly to Think Pacific. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis by Think Pacific. If you’re not successful in gaining a funded place, you can still apply to take part, but please note you will need to cover the programme fee yourself and will not receive any funding from the university. Please note:

  • If you are a student currently in your final year, you as your chosen project must end by 16th July at the latest
  • If you are a student in any other year, your chosen project must end by 14th August at the latest

Funding Information

Programme fee - £2145 (includes £195 registration fee). Students will need to fundraise or contribute 50% of the fee (£1072.50 total, £877.50 after paying the £195 registration fee). 

The remaining 50% fee will be covered by University of Liverpool Award Fund and will be paid directly to Think Pacific. 

Students will also be eligible for funding from the Turing scheme this is paid in two instalments 80% when you have fundraised/contributed 50% of the programme fee and 20% when you have finished your project. The total amount you are entitled to is £1950, this consists of a travel grant of £1360 and a cost of living grant of £590. The programme fee for both programmes includes accommodation, food, on-site support and online development activities.
