Our strong, cutting-edge research groups attract high-calibre students every year, creating a lively, innovative and supportive environment to explore and test the boundaries of our knowledge. PhD research topics are currently available in Earth Science, Ocean Sciences, Ecology and Marine Biology, Geography and Planning.
Scholarships for UK/EU research postgraduates are available, and we are keen to participate in International Graduate School Initiatives enabling students from participating institutes worldwide to study for part of their programme with us and gain a University of Liverpool PhD.
