About

My name is Dr Kasey Clark, and since 2022, I've been a lecturer in Environmental Change in the Department of Geography and Planning in the School of Environmental Science at the University of Liverpool. I am a Research Associate at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) in Panama.

I am the deputy Chair for the School of Environmental Science Diversity, Equality, and Inclusivity Committee (DEIC) and was part of the successful SoES Athena Swan Gold Self-Assessment Team (SAT) in 2025. I completed the PGCAP in 2023 and was awarded Fellowship of Advance Higher Education (FHEA) in 2024. I was the Lecturer of the Year for the University of Liverpool in 2024 for my work on inclusive fieldclass practices. Lecturer of the Year 2024: Dr Kasey Clark

Before becoming a lecturer at the University of Liverpool, I was a postdoctoral researcher at STRI, the University of Calgary, and the University of Pennsylvania. I received my DPhil (PhD) from the University of Oxford, my Master's from McGill University, and my Bachelors from the University of Windsor in Canada. I've carried out fieldwork from the Canadian Arctic to the Peruvian Amazon.
