About
I am a Consultant Geochemist and an Honorary Fellow of the School of Environmental Science. Currently, I use biomarkers to analyse and fingerprint source rocks and oils. In the past I have worked as a temporary lecturer in the School of Environmental Sciences. I have also undertaken a number of Post doctoral research projects. My research work has involved the use of lipid biomarkers and stable isotope analysis to improve our understanding of benthic faunal biochemistry and the quality of food (organic matter) in the water column and deep sea sediments. I have also used geochemical and isotopic proxies in the study of climate change and land use change in lake and marine sediments.
