About us

The Hub recruits a cohort of fully funded PhD students each year, providing training in a supportive and inclusive environment. We will equip students with the skills they need for a future career in academia or industry.

We aim to recruit 60 students across 5 cohorts and are currently seeking applicants for our next cohort, commencing in October 2026. Visit our apply page to find out more.

Through facilitating cohort building activities, group training, and networking opportunities, the Hub aims to equip students with both the technical and professional skills that will be needed in a future career, whether this be within academia or industry. The Hub provides students with an enhanced stipend of £25,805 per year, plus £7,000 for travel and conference attendance.
