Using a blended approach, this module will introduce learners to aspects of physics and radiobiology which provide the theoretical foundation for the use of ionising radiation in radiotherapy.
Lectures, tutorials, seminars and self-directed learning will allow learners to engage with the learning materials in a range of formats. Practical experiments will facilitate consolidation of knowledge of foundational physics and radiobiology principles, and the application of this to clinical radiotherapy practice.
The module assessment comprises a 2.5-hour unseen examination.
