During this module students develop their comprehension and competence in ancient Greek language whilst reading selections from a Greek prose and/or poetic text. They also engage in detail with the set text as a literary work embedded in the cultural and historical context, learning to draw upon modern scholarly commentary to enhance individual analysis.
