The module seeks to consolidate the syllabus of Latin morphology and syntax covered in CLAH641-CLAH644, at A-level, or in equivalent study with the addition of some new elements not covered before. It involves the study of selections from one prose and/or one poetic text; students will familiarise themselves with standard tools for reading unadapted Latin, such as lexica, grammars, and commentaries, and will pay attention to literary and historical aspects of their set texts as well as the linguistic and grammatical problems.
