This module continues covering fundamental aspects of Latin grammar (phonology – the sounds; morphology – the forms; and syntax – the construction of sentences). Students consolidate their knowledge of Latin grammar by translating into and out of Latin, and by reading short passages of Latin. Some basic unadapted texts will be introduced, which will help students build a richer and more representative vocabulary of Latin words. The textbook used is anticipated to be S.C. Shelmerdine, Introduction to Latin.
