Professor Danushka Bollegala speaks at Amazon Japan Tech Night in Tokyo

Professor Danushka Bollegala, Head of Data Mining and Machine Learning in the Department of Computer Science spoke at a public facing tech event in Tokyo, Japan.

On 28th May Professor Bollegala spoke to 150 + engineers about working for Amazon.

The “Tech Night” described the work of the above-mentioned paper to a virtual audience.

The event was attended by over one hundred people, interested in NLP in particular and Research and Development activities in Amazon, Japan in general.

Congratulations also to Professor Bollegala whose work on an LREC paper analysing tokenisation for multilingual tokenisation got advertised in the Amazon science blog and went viral last week.
