I received a PhD in Engineering from Cardiff University, United Kingdom, in 2024, and a Master’s degree with honours (Mención Honorífica, equivalent to Distinction in the UK) in Computing Technology from Instituto Politécnico Nacional, Mexico, in 2018. My PhD studies focused on robotics and artificial intelligence.
I am currently employed as a Research Associate at the University of Liverpool, where I specialise in robotic systems and AI-driven automation for chemistry. I also design and build physical machines and carry out mechatronics integration.
Before joining Cardiff University as a Robotics Systems Engineer in 2021, I worked as a Robotics & Automation Engineer in the metal mechanics sector starting in 2012. I was also involved in several independent automation and robotics projects.
More recently, in 2019, I joined Telcel—the leading IT company in Mexico—as a Software Developer, a position I held until beginning my PhD studies in 2020. My current research interests include robotics and artificial intelligence.
