Events and opportunities to connect
Since its launch in September 2024, the Sir Peter Rigby Centre for Enterprise has become a vibrant hub for entrepreneurial activity and innovation at the University of Liverpool.
Activity at the Centre is shaped through collaboration between the Careers and Employability Entrepreneurship and Start-Up team, the Brett Centre, students, staff and external partners, delivering events and experiences that build entrepreneurial skills, encourage new ideas and create opportunities to connect.
Students and recent graduates can take part in workshops, mentoring, networking, enterprise programmes and practical start-up support. This includes the weekly Entrepreneurship and Start-Up Clinic, where they can get advice on a business idea, test an early concept or talk through their next steps.
The Centre also hosts activity for University staff, academics, entrepreneurs, employers, businesses and external stakeholders, bringing together expertise from across the University and the wider enterprise community.
Events and activities may include:
- collaborative co-working and one-to-one enterprise support
- community events, training and networking
- opportunities to meet Entrepreneurs and Employers in Residence
- talks, panels and workshops with entrepreneurs, researchers and industry experts.

Help us grow our impact
Our ambition is to build an inclusive and connected enterprise ecosystem that inspires entrepreneurial thinking, supports new ventures and academic innovation, and strengthens the University's contribution to the Liverpool City Region.
There are many ways to contribute — through your time, expertise, networks, collaboration or support. By working together, we can create more opportunities for students, graduates, researchers and entrepreneurs to develop their ideas and turn them into action.
As someone who has always believed in the power of innovation and education, I am proud to contribute to a Centre that will not only inspire the next generation of business leaders but also provide tangible opportunities for those from all backgrounds to succeed.
