PPIE community
Meaningful Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) is central to everything we do. Our goal is to build a vibrant PPIE community that actively shapes our work from the ground up, united by a shared ethos.
HALo will deliver a dynamic and reflective PPIE programme that will not only engage patients and the public but also connect with researchers, regulators, CDMOs, government bodies, and UK funders.
HALo will collaborate across the UK, establishing patient and public-led advisory forums to set priorities, raise awareness, and develop educational resources around long-acting medicines.
Each forum will tailor its approach to engage diverse audiences across the research-to-clinic pathway. Our strategy will be co-created with patients and communities, working closely with charities, advocacy groups, and other key stakeholders to understand the real-world challenges faced by people.
By involving patients and the public in the development of new long-acting medicines technologies, we aim to ensure these innovations are truly designed with and for the people who need them.
We are committed to making our PPIE inclusive, representative, and aligned with best practice. The insights and priorities of our patient and public partners will provide a strong evidence base to guide the strategic development of long-acting medicines, bringing choice, change, and improved health outcomes to communities across the UK.
