Dr Tom Moore is a Senior Lecturer in Housing and Planning.
Tom's research interests include:
- Housing policy and practice, with a particular interest in forms of community-led and collaborative housing
- Community planning and citizen participation in urban and rural planning processes
- 'Runnability' in urban and rural planning, exploring how places can be configured to enable safe and inclusive recreational running
Tom teaches modules related to planning law and governance, housing and community planning, and academic, study and employability skills. In 2025, Tom and colleagues from the University's Careers Service were awarded the Faculty of Science and Engineering's Sir Alistair Pilkington award for their work in embedding employability into the curriculum.
