I am a passionate, results-driven professional focused on participatory governance and the intersection of environmental, social, and policy dimensions of sustainability. By empowering stakeholders and fostering collaborative decision-making, I create sustainable solutions that bridge the gap between theory and practice. I leverage stakeholder engagement, systems thinking, and participatory research methods to ensure my work delivers a tangible, real-world impact. With extensive experience translating complex findings into practical strategies, I effectively engage a diverse range of stakeholders, including policymakers, practitioners, and local communities. My objective is to strengthen co-production and maximize impact by directly connecting research and industry to policy. I am particularly committed to integrating local voices and heritage into strategic decisions, ensuring they are informed by robust evidence and reflect the needs of the community.
Previously, I worked as Postdoctoral Researcher on the "Resilient Coasts: Optimising Co-Benefit Solutions" project, funded by the Sustainable Management of UK Marine Resources (SMMR) Strategic Priorities Fund that was a £12.4m initiative dedicated to funding marine research to address critical gaps in understanding that have been identified by UK policy makers. In this role, I investigated social-ecological coastal systems in the UK with a focus on participatory decision-making.
Currently, I serve as a part-time Project Officer for the COAST-R Network, funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and DEFRA under their Resilient Coastal Communities and Seas programme and is part of a £14.8m investment in place-based research projects aiming to enhance resilience, wellbeing and sustainability across the UK. In this capacity, I organize events, manage stakeholder engagement, and translate project results into accessible outputs for diverse audiences, further refining my expertise in project coordination.
In parallel, I am growing my business, PART Research & Consulting, as a consultant and independent researcher. My recent work includes a consultancy project for the Environment Agency and a collaboration with Area Europa - development consulting to write projects for EU funding calls.
