Teaching
At present, I have no teaching responsibilities. Between 2011 and 2021, I taught a variety of modules across the period from the fall of the Roman Empire to the seventeenth century, focusing primarily on the Vikings, the Normans and the Anglo-Norman realm, an area directly related to my research interests. I have also taught on the history and function of medieval books and documents, particularly charters and biographical texts. At Liverpool, I have supervised BA and MA dissertations on subjects including the Angevin Empire, Queen Melisende of Jerusalem and medievalism in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
