Council
The NeST initiative is led by the Chair and supported by the Council formed of the Chair, Vice-Chairs and members. The NeST Council acts as the steering group of the initiative and it collectively decides about research directions, activities and the budget.

NeST has a set of advisors that are associated with the initiative.
- Professor Prudence Wong is responsible for the NeST communications
- Dr Cliff Brereton (Director at OCF DATA Limited), an industrial entrepreneur, has an honorary appointment at the University of Liverpool and is acting as an External Advisor advising the NeST team on the engagement with industry and in particular related to data analytics.
