Modelling with Mathematics - Sue Harkness

In the real world, there are often problems where the "best" result is needed. For example, the biggest profit or the lowest cost. Many of these have linear relationships between the variables. In this session, we will be looking at ways these problems can be modelled using mathematics, and solving a few simple cases.

Simple Additive Number Theory - David Lewis

We will be looking at solutions of equations which are restricted to integers. When are they attainable and how many different combinations of integer solutions are there?
