The summer abroad is a great opportunity for you to get all the benefits of an international experience without being away from home for a full year or semester.
Our partner universities all teach in English and provide a range of incredible programmes centered around Business, Marketing, Accounting and Economics with many of them including cultural visits to take your learning out of the classroom. The summer abroad is also a fantastic way to meet new people and make sure you don't miss any of the highlights the city has to offer, as many of the programmes include a social programme.
The summer experience is non-credit bearing but does appear on your HEAR and you will get an official transcript or certificate of completion. We have a number of tuition free places and there are additional funds available to help you with costs.
Why do it?
Summer Abroad is a brilliant opportunity to do something fun and useful with your vacation. Research undertaken by Universities UK highlights that it doesn’t matter where you study abroad or for how long, the experience is still hugely beneficial. So whether you spend two weeks or six weeks of your summer holiday on a Summer Abroad opportunity, you’ll develop all the skills of a Global Opportunities graduate.
How does it work?
We have loads of exciting Summer Abroad opportunities open to all students and some that are specific to students from certain academic departments. You can apply for a tuition free place at one of our partner universities. Places are limited and we prioritise students from low-income households for these spots, but if you aren’t awarded a place you can still apply for a programme and pay tuition fees to participate.

We have exciting opportunities to spend a summer abroad in countries all over the world! We have well established opportunities in the USA, China, Malaysia and Europe.
