Matthew is part of Cohort 1 and works with IBM. Matthew's research focuses on implementing numerical Bayesian techniques (specifically Particle Filters and SMC Samplers) at scale on distributed computing environments. He has an MSc Big Data and High-Performance Computing and completed a BA Business Economics and Financial Management.
Elinor is part of Cohort 2 and works with Leonardo. Elinor's research focuses on improving the ability to detect faint objects in, for example, radar data. She has a BSc in Physics and a MSc in Computer Science.
Harvi is a newer member of the CDT joining last October and is a member of Cohort 4. Harvi is a Masters of Mathematics and graduated from the University of Sheffield. He has a keen interest in Bayesian Statistics. His project partner is GCHQ.
Alex is a part of Cohort 3 and graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BSc in Computer Science and a Masters in Advanced Computer Science. His project partner is Dstl.
