This module helps students to gain knowledge of the main philosophical debates concerning the concept of God, such as the debates concerning God's omnipotence, omniscience, and perfect goodness. It also considers the main arguments for and against God's existence: for example, the ontological argument, the cosmological argument, the design argument, and the problem of evil. There is one lecture per week and one seminar per week. An assessed essay (1,500 words) counts for 55%. An examination contributes the remaining 45%.
