This module provides students with an introduction to modern British history. It narrates the history of Britain through examining the key themes that have come to shape modern British history, such as gender, protest, politics, and war. In this way, students will be given a grasp both of broad themes in British history – such as demographics, political units, ideologies and social change – and of the specific way history unfolded at key moments and turning points.
