This module provides an introduction to our dynamic Earth. Students will learn about the place of our planet in the solar system, the structure and composition of the Earth, dynamics within the deep Earth, and key tectonic processes associated with the movement of plates at the Earth’s surface. They will gain a holistic view of how key Earth processes link together and how they are driven. The course is delivered through a combination of lectures and practicals. Students are assessed through a combination of coursework and a final exam.
