Clearing for international students
International students can apply for undergraduate courses starting in September 2025 through Clearing.
If you’d like to apply for an undergraduate course at the University of Liverpool for 2025 entry, applications are still open to apply to us via UCAS until 30 June.
If you miss the UCAS application deadline for international students, or you’ve already applied through UCAS and now want to study at Liverpool, don’t worry. You can apply through Clearing from Saturday 5 July.
We welcome applications from high-achieving international students and encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Learn more about Clearing and how to apply.
International applicants may also be eligible for a tuition fee discount with an Advancement Scholarship.

Who can use Clearing?
You can use Clearing once you've received your exam results.
You're eligible for Clearing as an international student if:
- You have your exam results
- You have an English language qualification that
- You haven't received any offers
- You declined the offers you received
- You didn't meet the conditions of the offer
- You're applying after 30 June.
You can also apply through Clearing if you're already holding an offer. If you've changed your mind about your choice of University, or your results are better than you expected, you can use Clearing to explore your options.
You may be placed into Clearing automatically by UCAS if you meet the above criteria, or you can release yourself into Clearing through UCAS.
How to apply for Clearing at the University of Liverpool
- Browse the list of Clearing vacancies for international students once available
- If you've received your results, you can apply through Clearing from Saturday 5 July
- We'll review your application and consider whether we're able to make you an offer
- If we make you an offer, you’ll get an email from us telling you what you need to do to accept it and confirm your place.

Accommodation
Once we’ve confirmed your place, you’ll be invited to apply for accommodation. We can guarantee you a place in our Halls of Residence, or in University approved accommodation close to campus, if you apply for accommodation by Thursday 31 July.
