Reflection on Digital Universities UK - 2023 conference
It was during ‘Metaverse and collaboration: Art of the Possible’ at Digital Universities UK conference last week that I found the chance for some solitary reflection. Guide and curator Layla Bloom (University of Leeds) had concluded an insightful tour of the Leeds special collections, facilitated within a quirky digital gallery space, and in which I was still exploring.

Liverpool Learning Summit 2023: Pre-Event
The University of Liverpool’s popular Learning Summits, which take place every January, are designed to provide a flexible, welcoming and collaborative space to explore innovative teaching practices in Higher Education, discuss pressing concerns or contemporary issues across the sector, and to generally challenge ourselves to think about university education in new or interesting ways – particularly what we can do, as teachers, to help improve our students’ overall experience.

Video and Lecture Capture for Learning Event
As most were easing into the new year and tackling the Christmas inbox overload, at CIE we were preparing to welcome colleagues from across the UK to an event which would look to discuss the pedagogic value of lecture recording and video for learning, as well as begin to address some of the concerns staff may have around these areas.

Solstice Conference Edge Hill University - 5th-6th June 2019. Who are you and who do you want to be?
I attended Edge Hill’s Solstice Conference on 5th June 2019 in Ormskirk. It was a productive and fast paced day filled with great practice and inspirational talks. A real highlight of the conference was witnessing Phil Race’s semi-retirement ‘This is Your Life’ presentation and celebration.
