Making an Impact 2020 Programme

A mix of external and internal speakers and facilitators engaging colleagues from across the University in thinking about research impact – how it can be conceptualised, enriched, supported and sustained.

Framework

The Making an Impact 2020 Framework helps participants to build a tailored experience during the weeks of Making an Impact 2020 based on their own research impact needs, ambitions and interests.

Programme

The opportunities offered support in building skills, knowledge and expertise, with an engaging mix of workshops, seminars, panel discussions and bootcamps.

For each session participants have registered for joining instructions will be emailed to them, via the email registered with, one hour before the session begins.

Events by week

Key to participants who will benefit the most from individual sessions:

PD: Post-doctoral Researchers
ECR: Early Career Researchers
MCR: Mid-Career Researchers (excluding PDs and ECRs)
ATR: Academic, Teaching and Research Staff
RPS: Research-related Professional Services Staff

This programme is for research-related staff across the University, with emphasis on postdocs and early career research fellows.

Social Space

A channel on Microsoft Teams will be available for all those that attend any of the Making an Impact sessions to continue conversations, chat informally, network and make connections.
