Research Staff Association Conference 2019: Magical Mystery Tour
University of Liverpool, Wednesday 11th December

The 2019 University of Liverpool Research Staff Association Conference will be held on 11 December. The theme of the conference is “Magical Mystery Tour”.

We want to put research staff in the driving seat, give them the tools to take control of their careers and find their own “Ticket to Ride”.

Alex Sherlock, Careers and Employability: attributes that employers find valuable and identifying and articulating your transferable skills

Short talks from early career researchers within the University who have received internal or external funding. We’ll find out their top tips for applying for funding and ask them to show us their CVs. This will be followed by a panel discussion.

Lee Stewart, HR Business Partner at the University of Liverpool will give a talk on the Rights and Responsibilities of Postdocs.

14.30–16.00

“A day in the life”

Short talks from those that have chosen to explore careers outside academia, followed by a panel discussion.
