Research Staff Conference 2024

Join us this year to celebrate our community of research staff working across the University of Liverpool via a full day of Keynote talks, panel discussions, parallel masterclasses, wellbeing and networking activities dedicated to the theme of 'Built to Last: Developing resilience for a sustainable career'.

Built to Last: Developing resilience for a sustainable career

This annual conference is organised by the Research Staff Association in collaboration with the Academy. It will be an in-person event, with opportunities for virtual participation during the headline sessions across the day. This year’s theme, 'Built to Last: Developing resilience for a sustainable career' will include talks and panel discussions to help research staff consider how they can develop resilience and consider sustainability in their career within or beyond academia.

Within that theme, talks, panels and workshops will focus on how research staff can acknowledge and build on their strengths and skills to help maximise their personal and professional development, as well as the research practice of every researcher employed at the University of Liverpool. The talks will be aimed at a wide researcher audience and be of interest and relevance to the broad disciplinary range of our postdoc community. Speakers will share insights from which postdocs can take away value for their strengths, skills, development and professional practice.

The conference will take place on Wednesday 4th December. The event will bring together internal and external leaders to discuss how research staff can develop resilience and consider sustainability in their career within or beyond academia to help maximise the personal development and professional and practice of every researcher employed at the University of Liverpool.

The timetable of events and activities will run from 09:30am-4:30pm.

A full programme and registration details will be provided in due course.
