Research Staff Association Conference: Magical Mystery Tour

The theme of the 2019 University of Liverpool Research Staff Association conference was “Magical Mystery Tour”.

The aim was to put research staff in the driving seat, to give them the tools to take control of their careers and find their own “Ticket to Ride”.

We’ll find out their top tips for applying for funding and ask them to show us their CVs. This will be followed by a panel discussion which Ben Mollitt (Technology Directorate) and Laura McGarty (Early Career Researcher and Returners Fund).

The National Launch of UK Research Staff Association guidelines for researchers taking maternity, paternity, adoption or parental leave and advice for institutions and employers.

“A day in the life”

Short talks from those that have chosen to explore careers outside academia, followed by a panel discussion.
