    About

    Personal Statement

I am a senior lecturer with the department of Physics at the University of Liverpool. My main current research activity focuses on beyond Standard Model Higgs boson physics in the context of the ATLAS experiment at CERN. I am also participating in the Mu3e experiment at PSI. In the past I have been involved in research related to neutrino physics and materials science.

I hold some administrative roles in the physics department: director of postgraduate studies (since May 2021) deputy director of postgraduate studies (October 2018-May 2021), outreach coordinator for the particle physics research cluster (October 2017-April 2021). I am also Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2018.

My teaching responsibilities include PHYS493 - Advanced Particle Physics (module coordinator, since 2018-19), PHYS104 - Foundations of Modern Physics (module coordinator, 2016-17 and 2017-18), PHYS106 - Practical Physics I (tutor, since 2019-20), Phys480 - Advanced Quantum Mechanics (tutor, 2017-18 and 2018-19), PHYS305 - Modeling Physical Phenomena (tutor 2016-17). Every year I supervise a few MPhys student projects on ATLAS or Mu3e research projects. I am also teaching Particle Physics Postgraduate students ROOT and python (2016-17 till 2019-20) and Particle Physics Theory Introduction (2020-21).
