John Zhang is an associate professor of accounting at University of Liverpool Management School. He completed his PhD from Australian National University. His areas of research are in financial accounting and auditing. He also conducts research on financial markets and banking. He has multiple publications in internationally leading accounting and finance journals including: Accounting Forum, Auditing Journal, Financial Markets Institutions and Instruments, European Accounting Review, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money. He has taught extensively professionally accredited accounting and finance courses at undergraduate, post graduate and executive levels. Before joining the University of Liverpool, John has worked at the University of Edinburgh and Durham University. John Zhang is the winner of the British Academy/Leverhulme Foundation research grant (£8000) in 2016. John is also the Program Director of MSc Accounting & Finance (with annual enrollment over 200 students).
