About

What do you do?
I’m the Assessment and Welfare Coordinator within the Student Experience Team. This means I lead on student welfare initiatives, supervising the team to ensure students are receiving suitable support and accurate advice and information. The past few years have seen an influx of new assessment related policy both institutionally, and those we’ve created in-house to better serve students and support equality.

What is your background?
I’ve previously worked in the third sector, delivering literature based therapeutic interventions to vulnerable adults and children, and managing sector delivery across North West locations. I moved into HE to Liverpool Guild of Students in a student policy role, spent the briefest of times at the Charity Commission, before joining SoES in 2018. I have a Master’s in Information and Library Management, and spend my summers volunteering at festivals running crisis intervention and welfare services.

What are the top 3 things you love about working here at UoL?
1. Being a part of a student’s journey
2. Improving systems and processes to provide equality
3. The architecture of the Herdman/view from the 9th floor of the Roxby
