The module provides students with the opportunity to design and conduct an independent, research-led study aligned with their personal interests and guided by expert academic staff.
Students develop advanced expertise in research design, data analyses, statistical interpretation, and data visualisation, whilst gaining in-depth knowledge in a specific area of research. The module enables students to apply the full range of methodological and analytical skills acquired during the MSc to a substantial original research project.
Through this experience, students are prepared for doctoral study (PhD or ClinPsyD) and equipped with highly transferable skills, including statistical reporting, data visualisation, and research communication, relevant to careers in academia, industry, consultancy, and applied research settings.
