ADVANCED STATISTICS AND METHODS

Code: PSYC643

Credits: 30

Semester: Semester 2

This module develops advanced expertise in quantitative methods and statistical analyses. Techniques covered include regression models (linear and generalised linear models), psychometrics, structural equation models, multilevel models, as well as complex Bayesian techniques.

All analyses are taught using R, providing practical programming skills and experience in data analysis. Teaching combines conceptual instruction with applied data analyses, preparing students for careers in academic research, industry, consultancy, and data science.

Assessment is through an examination and coursework that requires students to implement, interpret, and communicate methods and statistical findings effectively.
