Procurement plays a critical role in embedding and promoting sustainable approaches in their supply networks. Sustainability has a broad span covering the interconnected global crises of climate change, environmental degradation, and social inequality. The module explores the role of procurement and supply networks, set within these complex global challenges. Students will examine the strategies and practices that organisations use to embed sustainability into procurement decision making. Guided by the latest research and practices, students will critically analyse the challenges and opportunities of developing responsible procurement supply networks across a range of different industries, sectors, and global contexts.
