The Introduction to research module aims to familiarise students with the fundamental concepts, methodologies, and practices involved in conducting research and prepare them for employment/research beyond their MSc. Students will conduct a literature review in order to fully understand the research and plan their research project. Students will work in collaboration with their research project supervisor to identify and develop the key skills required to undertake their research project.
These activities are assessed through writing a literature review, producing a skills portfolio document and designing a research proposal. Upon completion of this module, students will be prepared to carry out their MSc research project.
