Code: OCCU383

Credits: 30

Semester: Semester 2

This is the final module in the Occupation for health and well, being theme. This Level 6, 30 credit, third year module enhances students’ knowledge, skills, attitudinal recognition and change by the study of societal and environmental influences on marginalised and vulnerable population groups likely to experience occupational injustices. Students will apply their understanding of occupational therapy best practice nationally and internationally to the design of ethical occupational therapy interventions that address complex health needs and occupational patterns.
Students will be expected to reflect upon the unique contribution of occupational therapy to service provision and consider innovative and entrepreneurial approaches to Intervention design. Students will identify approaches to quality assurance, innovation and entrepreneurship within intervention design and delivery as well as leadership and change management. Students consider the wider context of service provision and then propose an approach to improve interventions for a population of their choice.
