This is the fifth module within the Professional and Professional Practice theme. It is a 30 credit, Level 6 module. This module will focus on further development of clinical skills and professional reasoning with a range of clinical conditions across the life-span, focusing on complex interventions and ethical scenarios.
Students will undertake a 2 week virtual Primary Care Practice Placement (PP5) further enhancing professional behavioural in a virtual setting and enable consideration of patient-centred care using a wide-range of knowledge and skills including interprofessional communication, evidence-based reasoning and advocacy skills. The virtual placement supports sustainability of practice placement capacity and offers the students a practice placement out of the Liverpool City Region to further enhance their knowledge of the wider NHS/Healthcare system in UK.
This module will incorporate a hybrid style of learning and teaching strategies including tutor facilitated seminars and opportunities for developing skills through experiential learning prior to and during practice placements. Students will also engage in clinical simulation tasks with clinical experts where possible.
