This module enables students to consider the delivery of occupational therapy interventions in a group context and how this might alter the nature of the intervention. It is a 15 credit, Level 5 module.
Building on learning from previous modules in the occupation for health and wellbeing theme, this module supports students to consider increased complexity within the context of group interventions. Students will consider the impact of interpersonal factors and group dynamics on occupational engagement and how the theories of therapeutic use of self and the intentional relationship guide delivery of group interventions and influence potential therapeutic outcomes.
Teaching will involve a mixture of keynote lectures, seminars, group based learning, role play, tutorials and self-directed learning.
