This is the second module within the Occupation for Health and Wellbeing theme. This module builds on OCCU180 foundational knowledge and aims to apply this in the context of occupational participation across the life course. This is a 30 credit level 4 module, which follows on from OCCU180.
Students will engage in learning across a range of topics, including but not limited to: Neuroanatomy, Neurodiversity, Mental Health, Ageing and Disease, Long term conditions, occupational barriers and occupational participation.
There are two assessment points for this module.
Students will submit one narrated poster (15 minutes) exploring how the interaction between, and change in body systems impacts occupational performance for a case study.
Students will also sit a live presentation of 15 minutes, with up to 5 minutes of questions. This presentation will ask students to analyse barriers to occupation and communicate how multiple factors shape occupational participation across the lifespan.
