This final year Portuguese module is mapped against the C1 level of the CEFR. Through a variety of learning and assessment activities, students will work towards understanding a wide range of sophisticated texts and recognise implicit meaning. Students will also learn to produce clear, well-structured, detailed texts on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns. They will work on being able to express themselves in Portuguese fluently and spontaneously without too much obvious searching for expressions. Students will learn to use the language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes, reaching a proficient level of linguistic and intercultural competence.
