This final year German module is mapped against the C1 level of the CEFR. Through a variety of learning and assessment activities, students will work towards understanding a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. Students will also learn to produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices. They will work on being able to express themselves in German fluently and spontaneously without too much obvious searching for expressions and to use the language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
