Through examples explored in lectures and workshops, students will develop insight into how weather, climate, and hydrological processes interact, and how observational records can be used to analyse variability in rainfall, rivers and groundwater. The module will also introduce emerging issues linked to forecasting and climate variability, equipping students with knowledge and analytical skills relevant to understanding a rapidly changing hydroclimate.
