This module introduces students to fundamentals of environmental data science. Students will become familiar with methods used to collate and computationally analyse a variety of environmental science data. After introducing intermediate-level programming, students will be assessed on their ability to generate basic code to analyse environmental datasets and to better understand the environmental processes those data record. By the end of the module, students will be equipped with basic programming and data analysis skills applicable to environmental data science.
